I'm taking this board a different direction.
There's many or should I say enough communities discussing BPD and dealing with personalities in personal family relationships that this one seems pretty moot. At least to me it does.
I've been leaving it here more or less just for the resource section as I know it's really hard when you're lost and feeling alone.. having the info there helps tremendously.
So here's what I was thinking for this place: Going the work-stress route. I haven't seen much in forums that look at this problem specifically. So many people are in situations that are beyond their control with people they didn't choose to be with.
Be it a mean boss, micro-manager from hell, annoying coworkers.
I know this is just the tip of the iceberg. I'm an office person myself and know there's so much absolute crap that goes on in every day office life.
Maybe you find talking to people outside of it, the first thing they say is "quit" which resounds alot like the whole "leave, run run run and don't look back" mantra that's often chanted by a new non when first faced with the facts of what bpd is.
Even if you quit and find a new job, there is almost always a chance you will find similar problems in a new office you didn't wager on.. and life's problems are never just that simple to just quit, move, run away.. to find it again.
I think what with people dealing with chosen and some unchosen relationships relating to personality disorders, there is some insight that could pass on over to an untouched category for the every day joe. A few coping strategies we've learned in these trials of being a non or a bpd or both.
The person who may never have walked into a mental health or support board does have stress that could benefit from the information we've dug up in the travels accross these communities.
So here's the title I've been rolling around in my mind:
"Office life". It'll take a while to transfer the focus of this board - gotta update the rules and such.
